Launches New Buyer's Guide Cover

A new cover for the Buyer's Guide was launched on Sunday, January 8, 2006 after months of working with the graphics department at the Asheville Citizen-Times. While the previous cover was regularly updated through the years, it was originally created in 2000 and had maintained the same basic appearance.

During 2005, several internal changes took place in the Buyer's Guide including increasing the Buyer's Guide from 12 pages to 16 pages, doubling the Communities section and revamping the Commercial section to show color pictures of the properties.

Advertising director, Jennifer Zaval said the new cover will more prominently display the words "Real Estate Buyer's Guide" in order to give buyers and sellers a clearer call to action. The new look will also be cleaner and more modern, making it easier to read. We have also displayed our web address at the top of the front cover, in order to drive even more traffic to our site.

We are also hoping that the new cover will coordinate with the introduction of the new Previews logo and the new Previews pages, giving the Buyer's Guide an overall new face. The Previews pages now have a new modern header to match the new Previews logo.

Although one element will remain the same, featured properties will still get cover placement with one larger featured property and six smaller properties.

The buyer's guide is distributed to over 100,000 people in their paper boxes each Sunday morning. It is also distributed at the local Chamber of Commerce, the Asheville Regional Airport, and sent out in hundreds of relocation packages.
